Betina MUHIMPUNDU
Mrs. Betina Muhimpundu is Legal-Consultant and Human Rights Activist for
more than 10 years, beside she has an expertise and did a specialization on Human
Rights Law at the Tanzanian- German Center for Postgraduate Studies in Law
(TGCL). In those studies, there was a special focus on East African Community
region (EAC).
Previously, in 2009, Mrs. Betina Muhimpundu worked as a Legal Researcher in
the Office of the Prosecutor at the United-Nations International Criminal Tribunal
for Rwanda (UN-ICTR). In 2010, she also worked as a consultant in the Technical
Working Group that was hired by the East African Community Secretariat in the
Harmonization of Laws and Policies of the East African Community. And she
also had an internship at the African Court for Human and Peoples’ Rights. Hence,
these academic knowledge and professional experiences enhanced highly her
understanding and skills in Human Rights.
